SiteHunter
Research Project: Bioinformatics - Protein Site Prediction
Undergraduate Research Assistant
Fall 2009 - Fall 2010
Purdue University

I worked in a team of two under Professor Daisuke Kihara where we developed a never before built application now called "SiteHunter".

The application was built using Perl and Unix scripts with some HTML and JavaScript for the website and results page generation.

The application predicts binding sites in a given query protein sequence based on similar protein family structures.

It implements efficient algorithms for data retrieval and faster results generation.

Flexware Innovation
Summer Intern
SharePoint 2010 Migration Lead

May 2010 - August 2010

I was responsible for company's intranet migration from SharePoint Portal Server 2003 to SharePoint Server 2010 with efficient IIS management and SSL security.

I worked on all the phases of the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) in an iterative model from requirement gathering, design, implementation, testing and deployment to the release of SharePoint Server 2010.

I developed custom solutions including webparts and aspx pages in C# and VB through Microsoft Visual Studio 2010.

Upgraded the old SQL reports and integrated the SharePoint server with SQL Server 2008 R2 along with reporting services for deploying new reports.

Used Microsoft Visual SourceSafe for source control and storing the application source code.

Properly documented all my work with tutorials on how to use the newly developed solutions for the company employees.
